Fancy sitting on this bench and taking the views in?

Well this is the area, directly behind the rental we stayed for 5 weeks on Bribie Island. Beautiful eh!

Wouldn't you just like to come and have the sand go through your toes and capture this?

Woorim Beach, again on Bribie where we take the girls and their boogie boards (during day light hours).

This jetty is perfect for fishing off.

And yes we've put our rods in here.

Can you see the residence of Bribie?

These magnificent birds are seen around Bribie at all times they have their favourite places.
One being on top of the lights on the bridge into Bribie Island.

And this is another of their favourite spots.

Content birds eh!!

Black Cockatoo's

It's not everyday that one has
Black Cockatoo's
in their garden,
even in Queensland.

*This one is enjoying the seeds from the pine cones.

These Cockatoo's (I've been told) come down from the mountains because of rain!!

One takes flight

One of our Orchids

What do you think of this then?
It was just sat in a pot under a load of tree branches

These beautiful birds in our dam.

Daddy on one end of rope pulling the girls around dam.

Both girls love this - we don't trust them with ores yet.

What a life....................

What a suprise................

A Kingfisher

This beautiful bird - uses our dam to fly over dive into and as in picture preen itself in our trees.

How blessed our we.

The Birds!!

The 4 Hens (or chooks as they are called in Auzzie land) were the first of the birds to arrive, on the same day as Horace and Porridge.

Then there came Duncan our drake. A gift.
(Duncan was shy when he arrived and didn't like his picture taken)

But as Duncan was lonely we brought home (within a few days) his own harem. Again more gifts.

Two girls enjoying their paddle on the dam.

Who will lay the first egg?

Horace and Porridge

Meet Horace and Porridge.
These to guys gave us a hard time when we got them back home - on Saturday the 7 th July.
They hoped straight over our 4 foot fence as if i wasn't there, so let alone both Gary and I panicking at the damage they could do to the garden but what will they do to the vehicles too.
So higher fencing was required - nearly six foot later and two happy people and goats.
A delightful sound of the ice-cream van on it's rounds, as we went to collect our treats ( yes the girls had one too), to see Horace coming towards us. Oooooooo
Gary was NOT impressed.
So Horace and Porridge had to be tethered.
I had a little chat to them telling them Gary was going to take them to the meat market if they didn't settle.
